the information@ the shed.

information: The shed was a place for folks to get together and enjoy art / music and community company. Shows worked on a donation basis, as in nonperishable items could have been donated for the Palmer Food Share or cash money could have been donated that was used to send the touring bands off with some dough. towards making things happen. & although bugs and bad weather are still not as cozy as indoor plumbing and 21+ shows, we feel / felt that substance and sincerity more than compensated for our venues rugged good nature. We said / say- UP.with the community, ehh? (The Shed, file under: weird, non-profit, fun loving mystery solvers.)

It is super-uber important that we give our neighbors the space that they deserve. Also, it is asked that everyone keep any sort of riff raff to a minimum while near / on the street as a way to avoid issues with noise and so on. The folks in the houses close by are very kind to put up with our semi-frequent gatherings, and they deserve a whole wicked bunch of TLC in return. OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

attn bands: None drugs or boozin' is allowed at the shows. This is an all ages space for the community. Also, we are not a full time venue. Unfortunately we are limited to about 2 / 3 shows a month and they usually happen on the weekends. If need be, we may be able to set something up during the week as we like to help out. P.S. all shows happen rain or shine!

attn booking: For the most part, the folks who are involved with the shed understand what touring bands (and the like) need while they are on the road. Most of us have been in, or are in music making groups ourselves. Pretty much 100% of all the cash donated goes to the touring band(s). (YES! we..are.a.non-profit.group, and .have
low.. expenses.. to.. run.. our.. venue).

Now 100% may sound like a lot but it certainly does not mean that we can promise a butt load of green, a tank of gas sure, but not infinite riches. What we can promise however, (and what is essentially the only reason to want to play the shed) is a nice, personable show experience that is much fun and so on. BONUS: If the touring cats are very sweet and gentle, they often get a place to crash and sometimes some grub for their love / efforts. So yes, to cut to the point, have folks play here if they would like to have fun and leave with something amazing to talk about when they make it back home. It's true: "Palmer is beautiful".
