General Overview
Since 1998, the folks behind The Old Store and The Shed have set up over 200 all-ages shows in Palmer, MA and are now organizing monthly shows at Diamond Junction Bowling Alley. Diamond Junction is an amazing vintage candlepin alley and the people that own it are extremely supportive of our efforts. The space is quite cosy with low tin ceilings, a couple of pool tables, some arcade games, and 8 lanes to bowl in. If you are interested in playing, feel free get in contact with us. However, please be aware that the once-a-month schedule does not allow us to help everyone out who wants to play.
Booking
Currently, we are booking one show a month.
We book a wide range of bands and generally plan our show dates around a touring band's schedule. Aside from a small percentage of money that goes to Diamond Junction, we divide all of the door money between the bands and take into account who has traveled the furthest. We may not be able to promise infinite riches, but what we can promise (and what is essentially the only reason to want to play in a small candlepin bowling alley) is a nice, personable, unique show experience with an engaged audience... it is not a bar and it is not background music.
How It Works
Add bands, candlepin bowling, and rad friends. Mix thoroughly for about 4 hours, once a month. Feels good, tastes like magic.
